491 Visa Costs

The subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional visa is a temporary work visa that enables the holder to live and work in regional Australia for up to 5 years. The 491 visa offers a pathway to permanent residency through the subclass 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa.

To obtain a 491 visa you need to submit an expression of interest and be nominated to apply by an Australian State or Territory. Your EOI can also include a family sponsor.

Cost of the 491 Visa

The government fees for the 491 visa are as follows:

Main applicant: AUD 4,045.

Additional applicant: AUD 4,045

The Second Instalment – AUD 4,890

You may be asked to pay The Second Instalment for any applicants over 18 years old who do not have functional English. You only need to pay this when asked to by the immigration department. You do not need to pay this at the time you submit your application.

These costs do not include health examinations, skill assessments or professional migration agent fees.
